OK. Take off one of your (mud-free indoor) shoes. Place it in the centre of the carpet (you see – we do a lot of sitting-on-the-carpet in 1b!) And watch. I am going to sort them into two piles. Look carefully. What criteria have I used to sort them?

Look carefully! And yes, you have spotted that in one pile, all the slippers have some pink.
Now who would like to have a turn to sort them? Who can think of a different way to do it?
